Joe Biden came to Michigan … bearing gifts … gifts from the governement …  so they.. the media .. said.. to the tune of 1.3 billion dollars.

The government was making a huge investment in Michigan’s future … Biden claimed.

The media cheered loudly.

1.3 billion dollars … earmarked for battery development .. to go with the cars Obama pronounced will be made in Indiana when he visited there yesterday with promises of prosperity for that region.  His cars ….energy efficient green Obama cars.

Well… the government has no gifts to give.  These gifts come from we the people .. and they are all “” mandatory voluntary”  gifts we give .. thanks to Obama.

Now… he says he has no interest in running any auto companies .. that the government does really want to get out of the business… this after of course being forced to take them under their wing because the auto people really had no idea what was good for them or how to do anything good with their companies.  It was not a chocie the government .. Obama was given.. but an absolute necessity if the auto companies were to be saved.  The thing was to fire that ignorant CEO of General Motors … to get rid of their debts… throw their former investors to the wolves and get moving in the right direction.  That …of course ..  is the path General Motors and Chrysler are now on… the “right direction”… the Obama path.

It is only natural then that next great gift should be in the form of the ability and command to develop the batteries that will operate the great Obama cars.

Now .. the new auto czar proclaims.. the government will begin selling its shares in a year or two… maybe.  The companies have to prove themselves first of course … to the government.  After all the government has made such a great investment in them .. it can’t possibly take a chance that such an investment would go bad.

So… the auto czar.. (czar.. doesn’t that have a nice ring?) …  Ron Bloom .. will sit back on his lofty seat and observe carefully as these companies.. both auto and the newly gifted battery development companies I presume .. do as the government deems fit.

Nice tight failproof control.

Too bad these wonderful gifts have nothing to do with what the people want… only with what hard earned cash they have .. cash that will now go to the government in the form of taxes and more taxes and more taxes.

After all .. these wonderful generous oh so bountiful gifts from the likes of Biden and Obama surely have to be paid for.

The government has no money … just gifts to make in their name to companies owned by handpicked people who gladly lay at their feet …  paid for by you.

What about all the lost jobs and loyal companies that are struggling so hard to survive?

Oh.. minor casualities of the times.. after all .. as Bloom says .. not in these exact words but the meaning is here…. ‘we know there will be those who go under…. that cannot be helped. ‘

Sort of like Delphi who has been in bankruptcy for four years to date… (compare that with the two months of Obama ordered GM and Chryler bankruptcy) with no offer of a helping hand from anyone.. just one of many many many.
