Obama talks of those “on the other side”.
Should any president ever talk of ‘the other side’? Are we not all Americans with opinions to be valued?
Apparently this president does not think so. He just dismisses those who have another opinion .. discounts them completely… or perhaps belittles them to the point of attempting to make them look like complete fools. Of course .. he doesn’t succeed. His recent attempt was to dismiss Glen Beck by simply just ignoring the rally in Washington.
In this same interview with Brian Williams … he “bristled” when asked if the oil spill was his Katrina.
“It’s just not accurate,” he told Williams. “The only thing in common with the Katrina response was [oil spill incident commander] Thad Allen… We had immediately [deployed] thousands of vessels, tens of thousands of people.”
Is that true?
And now comes the “gotcha!”… as Feinberg .. the Obama administration appointed administrator of claims process of victims of the oil spill…. by the U.S. Treasury Dept. technically … says most all claims in the first week did not have enough documentation to be paid.
Now … who could possibly have seen that coming?
Might it have something to do with Obama owing BP? just wondering just wondering … but .. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm… that might not be such a bed thing… keep Obama in line a bit with the oil we do so sorely need?
Of course .. it does not help those being turned away .. and yet .. they could be legitimate false claims too…. people are known to do such things. It is all so muddied when an Obama appointed head is at play. To trust or not to trust … that seems to be the question .. and that is sad.
Those with real claims will hopefully prevail.
And in the meantime .. from the Rose Garden .. comes remarks from Obama that are remarkable in the fact that there isn’t even a question in Obama’s mind that maybe .. just maybe … some of what we are all going through in this country right now …. just might have something to do with decisions made by him …. that maybe it really is a saving factor that some of his mad spending bills have been stopped.
We all must vote.
