Obama welcomed the Republicans to a whole half day summit on the healthcare bill ..

“I want to consult closely with our Republican colleagues,” Obama told  Katie Couric, just hours before the Super Bowl. “What I want to do is to ask them to put their ideas on the table… I want to come back and have a large meeting, Republicans and Democrats to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward.”

He wants to have a “large meeting” .. so he inivited them to come on over .. sometime later this month… and it will even be televised.

In reference to all the special earmarks in the Democrat bill ….

“They did not help. They frustrate me,” he told Couric. “But this is a democracy. I would have loved nothing better than to simply come up with some very elegant, academically-approved approach to health care, and didn’t have any kinds of legislative fingerprints on it and just go ahead and have that passed. But that’s not how it works in our democracy. Unfortunately, what we end up having to do is to do a lot of negotiations with a lot of different people, many of whom have their constituents’ best interests at heart. “

What a joke.

And .. this is a republic .. not a democracy.  He doesn’t know that?

Everything is for show with Obama.   Everything is to try to fool the people.  Everything is about getting his way.. at any cost.

As one White House aide put it ..

A half day summit.

How much do you really think he plans to listen to what any Republican has to say?

C’mon guys .. I will let you in this time.  I promise.

Any Republican who capitulates to Obama with this offer  needs to be replaced.  This wonderful offer of oh such great condescention is nothing but another huge insult to the intelligence of everyone.

Give it up .. Obama.  Just give it up.
