Obama spelled out his healthcare plan for the umpteenth time last night.

Was there anything new in it?  New fantasy math being done in fantasy land?

Just try adding up all he wants to do with healthcare… and see where the numbers lead you.  High … way way way up high… for everyone who pays taxes.

‘We  (the government.. ie: you the taxpayers) will provide you… all of you .. with healthcare .. and it will be affordable!’ .. words to that effect at least.

Insurance companies will accept everyone irregardless of pre-existing conditions.

There will be no cap on the amount of benefits the insurance companies will pay you.

Your employer will offer you health care .. or he/she will pay a fine.

How quickly do you think your employer will opt for the fine and turn you over to the government plan (which you will now pay for twice)?

Every single American will buy health care or be fined.

If you cannot afford healthcare the government  (you the taxpayer) will subsidize it .. subsidize the plan that you the taxpayer will already be paying for once for yourself.

In fact .. the government will subsidize a family of four with up to an income of $66,000! $66,000?

You should have some money left in your paycheck to pay for  that worthy cause.

Then of coure there are other streams of “revenue” to be retapped .. the insurance companies of course for one.

Tax the high end insurance policies on the insurance company end.  Do you really think they might pass that on to you the consumer .. the taxpayer?

Then of course there is soda pop.  We can tax that.  No one should be drinking it anyhow… all it does is make them fat.

And of course all of this will be passed on to you… the consumer… you the taxpayer.

The original 900 billion it will take to pay for your healthcare?

Oh … no big deal.  That will be paid for easily.  Remember all that money that has been lost due to Bush’s tax cuts?  Those tax breaks expire very soon now. That will be easy money.

About time those rich people paid their fair share anyhow.

And OH… we will cut the defense budget…. that will help.

So .. you see?  Nothing to it.  All taken care of.

Now let’s just get it done!

Fantasy math in fantasy land?

You be the judge.  After all it is all your money .. you the taxpayer.  No one else makes any.

This health plan if passed will change our lives in ways you cannot even imagine ….  in a heartbeat .. and that is no fantasy.

The Max Baucus bill is no better.
