The GOP mangaged to block the financial “takeover” bill for now… and instantly the lies came out…. the biggest one being the old standby… Wall Street caused this financila mess we are in.
“A party that stands with Wall Street is a party that stands against families and against fairness,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).’
No mention of course of the simple fact that the government.. the Democrats in the government .. chose to force banks to make loans to people who could not afford them.. and could never pay them back… for “everyone has a right to own a house”… whether they can afford one or not … thus the infamous Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac……
There is so much in this bill if passed aa is that would affect every single American … not to mention every bank who will be in the pathway of being closed whenever the government seems to think if fit to do so.
Republicans criticized the Democratic bill for perpetuating government bailouts and for setting up a consumer protection bureau that would have sweeping and unrivaled powers over the economy.
It is just another power grab by Obama all being done in the “name of the poor”… using the “rich” as the scapegoat… propaganda at its worst and most dangerous… and of course .. in spite of the vote to block the vote … the Dems say .. once more… we shall move this forward… and Obama has said …. “One way or another .. it will pass…”
Think.. people… where would we be without the big banks? Where would this country be? It is the banks who are now controlled by the government that are causing the most grief to people. Are you sure you want only government run banks serving this nation? That of course is what this will lead to down the road… and in a hurry. Look at all the banks being closed today by the Feds. How much worse will it get should this bill become law?
