Is it a figment of my imagination .. or did I really hear Biden and Obama some time in the past screech and yell against the surge in Iraq … saying how it will do nothing and we have to get our guys home NOW?

Did they really really blame Bush for a useless no good futile war in Iraq brought on under fraudulent lies and totally uncalled for?

I could swear I remember them at sometime or another deriding the whole bunch of warmongers who felt the Iraq war was a very real necessity for the security of our country as Iraq was such a stronghold for the terrorists.

Maybe I was wrong.

Was I?

To hear Biden today .. if he is telling the truth .. then of course I was wrong .. I never ever could have heard any of those things or anything like them.

It must be a figment of my imagination that makes me believe they were so against everything to do with the Iraq war .. and piled the hatred so high on Bush that I often wondered how he could walk so unaffected by it all .. and just continue doing his job.. the top priority of which was in his eyes the protection of this country and every citizen in it.

I say that because Joe Biden announced in front of the whole country last night the following concerning Iraq…. as he took personal credit for all the good that has come as a result of President Bush’s initial move of sending in troops against Saddam Husseing ….. with no mention even of Bush…

“I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration. You’re going to see 90,000 American troops come marching home by the end of the summer. You’re going to see a stable government in Iraq that is actually moving toward a representative government.”

“I’ve been there 17 times now. I go about every two months, three months. I know every one of the major players in all the segments of that society. It’s impressed me. I’ve been impressed how they have been deciding to use the political process rather than guns to settle their differences.”

All you can do is react to this with hysterical disbelieving laughter.

Joe Biden .. the most solid honest upstanding straight talking Vice President this country has ever had….

That has to be a figment of my imagination.
