As unemployment stays high … as the economy stays flat … as people struggle to redo their budgets to reflect this and survive … Charlie Cook of the Cook Political Report calls this state of our economy a “millstone around the Democrats’ necks”.
It is much more than that.
It is the truth .. the reality… that this is what the Democrats have brought on this country with its policies of tax and spend .. and spend and spend and spend and spend … all money no one has. It is not a millstone around their necks .. it is a mountain of waste they are standing upon… as they build themselves higher and higher by means of money no one has … piling the debt higher and higher and higher beneath their feet … burying us all.
The story is getting old and people are tired.
The primaries yesterday were the first step into facing this reality .. the reality of where this country is right now as a result of this administration’s moves. The next step will come in November. You can blame Bush all you want .. but don’t forget it was a Democrat Congress that pushed the spending through under him too.
The lies .. the twist of words used to placate people have only opened up the truth more to what we are dealing with in Washington today. Anyone with any common sense can now see.
While this is going on .. Michelle Obama takes a luxury vacation in Spain on Air Force Two … reserving 60 rooms for security and 40 friends … and assumingly makes it an “official” trip by setting a time to visit King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia.
Who is paying for all of this? Would you be right if you said “We the taxpayers?”.
Do you recall any other first family doing the things this one does .. all on the taxpayers’ dollars? Flying their dog to Marths’s Vineyard on its own plane .. for crying out loud!
The elite have taken their places in Washington … and their ears have become hearingless toward the people as they do as they wish using whatever or whoever they wish to accomplish it… and it is getting all so old.
We are Americans.
We can fix this. November will be here sooner than we think.
Ther greatest duty we have these days is to VOTE … but make sure you know who it is you are voting for.
Get prepared for November. Let’s get those self anointed elite off the top of that debt pile before it suffocates us all.
