In tonight’s State of the Union address Obama could find himself all “speeched” out.

In other words … the American people may all look at this as just another speech most likely to be filled with more empty meaningless promises of change and hope that will end up right where those promises of a year or two ago ended up .. in an empty hole from which we find ourselves wondering how and if we can ever dig ourselves out.

If Obama really cares about America .. he should not talk about a token spending freeze . .which is what he will propose tonight.

He should admit he spent a little more than he probably should have and tell us how important it is to really stop and to cut cut and cut some more.  There is plenty to cut.

He should return to wherever he gets it every last penny of the “stimulus” money that has not been spent … forget about spending any money on “jobs” … and certainly forget about making the announcement tomorrow that he will be allocating $8 billion for a high speed rail system somewhere… this after he announces his spending “freeze” tonight.

If he really cares about jobs .. he should announce an immediate tax cut for all businesses everywhere in the country.

He should say that government will take all mandates off the table and allow the American people to run their businesses according to the demand of the people… the old tried and true supply and demand mantra.

It is the only thing that works.

Obama should let the American people know that any takeover of our health care by him is off the table… done.. over.. kaput .. just as we have let him know we want it to be.

He should tell us the government has no right to keep our oil companies from doing whatever they must to break our dependence on foreign oil … after all we really do have plenty of our own right in our own back yard.

He should tell us there will be no more closed door meetings with labor bosses and no one else .. not even the media .. allowed within… that there will be no more takeover by the government of any aspect of our private lives which of course means businesses and he will never again mention his desire to mandate what anyone can pay their employees …. including bonuses.  In fact he should promise he will keep his hands off all businesses in every way… and will turn General Motors back to the shareholders .. getting himself and the UAW out of the business of running auto companies.

He should apologize to us for having gone around the world apologizing for our nation.

He should let us know he recognizes now the terrorists really are a threat to our nation and promise to treat them accordingly .. not as some pseudo American citizens who deserve to have a life in this country in one of our prisons.

In other words .. he should use this opportunity tonight to speak the truth about the state of our union and promise to step back and allow the American people to do what ever they do to get it back in shape.

It just might work.

He should tell us he is telling his wife to back off the push to “serve” as we are already the greatest serving country on earth and need no one telling us what to do in that area.

He should tell us he is going to quit using the spot he was elected into as a bully pulpit for his own purposes … a campaign podium .. including the websites .. and really put the American people … our country .. first for the first time since arriving on the public scene.

He should assure us he really can stand before an elementary school class and speak to them without having to set up his teleprompters.

Dreams vs reality……………

Obama will  never ever recognize he is all “speeched” out.

The good thing is the American people know it.

Let’s just get through the next three years intact.
