Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset.
These words were spoken by Obama in January, 2009.
Apparently he had transparency confused with “a mirror on the wall”… for if you look for transparency in this administration all you see is your face beamed back from you as if from a mirror.
Nothing has been less transparent than the national health bill that Obama insists will be passed in some shape or form by Christmas. Pelosi has said she will sign anything .. just get it passed. It makes no difference what it is or what is in it.
It looks like that is just what the Senate will do… only .. no bill has even been presented.
The CBO said it will score the newly prepared bill upon its finish. There has been no scoring … therefore .. no bill. Even if there were a bill… no one has been allowed to see it.
If it has been written …. no one will be given a chance to read it before the vote is called… after all there will be more than 2000 pages in the bill when it is produced … and who will have time to come close to reading that before the end of the coming week .. time before which the vote is to take place?
Obama’s administration is not a hard core authoritarian government .. it is quiet in a sinister way.
Totally ignoring the voice of millions upon millions of Americans who have been bombarding the White House and Capitol with phone calls and emails and attempted visits to Senators.. this government has taken it upon themselves to write laws that they want …. period.’
Should one of “theirs” .. ie: a Democrat … dare to go against what Obama demands .. threats are played. If one of “theirs”.. ie: a Democrat.. pouts like a child and says .. “no, I won’t.. unless…”… the unless is filled..more is promised in favors … anything to win the vote never mind what it may cost you and I.
The voice of the American people has become meaningless with this administration.
That is how things are done in Europe these days .. a quiet “ignore the people and take what you want and tell them what they can or cannot do” sort of mentality .. with individual freedom having no weight whatsoever in anything concerning that upper elite class called “government”.
The governing “elite” have all the freedom they could possibly wish for .. at the expense of all of the people “beneath” them.
Obama is a carbon copyof that type of rule.
The national health care plan is jut the first biggie he will shove down our throats. After that .. all will become easy for him .. or will it?
We still have our voice in our vote .. or do we?
Has ACORN and the SIEU become so big and untouchable that even our ballot booths will become neutered?
We have seen how that works very clearly in both Washington state .. in their election of the last governor … and in Wisconsin.. where Franken was finally “miraculously” called the winner.
How far can they pass those types of tactic on?
We will have to wait until November to find out.
In the meantime .. it gets awfully old looking through that “transparency” and seeing only a mirror… with our own voices being thrown back at us .. unanswered … unacknowledged.
