What is it about Susan Boyle that has caused her to become such a phenomenon?
(If you doubt she is that .. did you ask “Susan who?”)
Perhaps she represents what each of us would want to have in our life … a quiet peaceful uncluttered existence.
A restful street tucked in the small confines of a small village .. the spring breezes blowing softly through the slightly opened window… the wonderful smell of newly growing grasses and budding spring flowers.
Makeup and dress to impress are forgotten … what a freedom there is to just be.
Forgotten is the house kept up to Better Homes and Garden standards .. the social life calling for that perpetual smile.
Gone are the pressures of today’s times.
The sadness comes in thinking that our voracious appetite for that which we can only imagine will ultimately steal it from Susan Boyle.
I hope she is strong enough to not allow that to happen.
No amount of dollars or fame can replace a quiet peace of mind.
