The Power Of Truth

“…this yelling at the President during that address had never happened to any prior President…that was almost like the straw to break the camel’s back…to have that southern white male shout down the first black president, it seemed to really hit a nerve.”

“The fact that Joe Wilson is from South Carolina…it strikes a lot of people as awfully close to the idea that maybe there was some sort of racist or bigoted element there.”

It would do no good to give credence to the above statements by adding the speakers’  names.

Suffice it to say it so clearly illuminates the arrogance .. the complete and total arrogance .. of the speakers.

Come on.  We all heard the boos to President Bush as he appeared to make a State of the Union address.  Just that one instance makes the above statement a lie. No other instances have to be referred to.

There is an element in this country that is intent on making sure racism stays alive and well.

Why?

Does it profit them in some way?

Is it to their advantage somehow to try to keep those horrible flames of racism alive?

Obama lied.. over and over and over again in his address to Congress.  The color of his skin cannot change that truth and has nothing to do with the frustration the American people feel rising in themselves with every lie he speaks.

That someone would finally have frustration break through while sitting and listening to these lies being repeated for the umpteenth time is perfectly understandable.  How many of you were shouting that same word to the tv screen as you heard those words of false promise … for the umpteenth time?

The simple fact that Obama refused to accept any of the plans the Republicans have tried to offer him and then say to the country that they in fact choose to do nothing is enough alone to cause a breakthrough in that frustration .. never mind every other lie that was being touted as truth.

The only surprise here is that more voices didn’t break through.

Now comes those who want so deeply to keep America entrenched in racism using that as a reason for that outcry.. “You lie!” .. as they use every incident that somehow speaks against them and what they do.

I would like to say to the speakers of those words above…. “YOU LIE!”

However … doing that only brings me down right where they would want me…. at the same level of ignorance.

Keep the decorum.. keep the poise … stand up strong for the truth.. then take it all into the voting booth.

That is where the power lies.
