If you have never attended a tea party … you should make it a point to attend one.
One thing you will see is that the tea partiers are not about eliminating taxes .. nor are they about politics. The meaning of what they stand for is so much more.
It is all about American freedom.
The tea partiers are about eliminating the drastic over-spending of the government that has snowballed into a threat of all of our freedom.
They are about getting a government back in Washington that will work for the people as that is its duty.
They are about getting a government back in Washington who holds up high the pride in this country.
They are about patriotism.
I attended two tea parties today … this tax day … and they are sobering events.
It brings home to you what a fight we have on our hands to win our government back and to keep our country free.
They are events attended by people carrying the American flag ..either in their hands or on their body …. or the “Dont’ Tread On Me Flag”.
Some carry signs … well thought out signs too.
Others sell flags … or chili dogs .. with perhaps a sign reading “capitalism at work” hanging on their table or on their flags poles.
There are speakers who speak in clearly spoken voices about our faith in our Constitution or about the price that has been paid to keep this country free all these years by so many.
The people at these tea parties are about freedom… American freedom.
They are about wanting to keep their freedom … their right to the pursuit of happiness .. and they are about bringing about a change in Washington in the way Americans always have … by encouraging all to use their power of the vote.
Join the tea partiers at one of their events.
If you love this country and care about what is going on in Washington today … you already are a tea partier at heart.
Attend a tea party. You will see.
The “don’t tread on me” flag is known as the Gadsden flag … andthe rattlesnake symbol on it can be traced back to Benjamin Franklin… who felt the rattlesnake’s termperamnent fairly represented the American spirit….
