The wonder of America has been showing through beautifully all of last week … proving once again when a threat to any of our freedom goes from a push to a shove… we will stand before it mightily.
We have a right as Americans to speak our voice … to let our opinions be known without violence and destruction. That right has been exercized from the day it was granted. It is the American way of keeping our nation and its freedoms in balance against the ongoing threat of people who would destroy it… including fellow Americans who would put their own honor and power above everything else .. even the rights of the citizens of this nation.
This past week this right was seen in action all across this nation. People are afraid of Obama’s healthcare plan .. and they have a right to be. They also have the right to express those rights to their government representatives.
They did and will continue to do just that.
The wonder of America is that even in the face of the anger that was shown these opposers of Obamacare … the opposing voices were heard. They were not muzzled .. even though that would be … in his own words… Obama’s choice. ”.. get out of my way and don’t talk…” .
The results of these town hall meetings.. the outcomes.. were not hidden. They have been publicized everywhere… through the media of all types… positively in some.. not so positively in others.
No one has threatened to shut down anyone … yet … for publicizing these outcomes. Should any one ever attempt that … the results would be the same as we have seen these past days concerning healthcare.
We Americans love and value our freedom. We know how high the price for it has been. We will never lay down and curl up and shut our mouths when we see it being threatened in any way by any one.
We are Americans after all.
Don’t tell us to shut up and get out of the way.
