Torture Photos And General McChrystal

There has to be a reason for Obama’s complete reversal on the release of the torture photos.

Could there be a connection in some way between the stop of the release of those photos and the firing of General McKeirnan to be replaced by General McChrystal?

Gen. McChrystal was part of some very tough operations in the Iraq war … with no holds barred when it came to capturing terrorists.  His goal was to kill as many as possible.

He also had no qualms about using tough measures on prisoners for information.

“His command provided personnel forTask Force 6-26 … an elite unit of 1,000 special-ops forces that engaged in harsh interrogation of detainees in Camp Nama as far back as 2003. The interrogations were so harsh that five Army officers were convicted on charges of abuse. McChrystal himself was not implicated in the excesses, but the unit’s slogan, which set the tone for its practices, was “If you don’t make them bleed, they can’t prosecute for it.” ”  Fred Kaplan

The need for “torture” is now accepted?

General McChrystal is an Obama pick.

This is in no way written as a mark against Gen. McChrystal.  It is simply an observation of how the tables can be so quickly turned.

Depends only on where you sit.

Maybe Obama is deflecting this storm that could/would be?
