Uh Oh

Scott Brown voted for the jobs bill … and people eveywhere gasped.

They shouldn’t have.

Just from the fact of where he lives is enough to tell everyone that he.. Scott Brown .. would never be the same conservative Republican found in other parts of the country.  The single fact that he would not vote for the national health care bill was the main reason for all to be glad he was elected.  As for other proposals.. he said from the start he would do what was best first for his state… as all Senators say they do.

If the people of Massachusetts who voted for him are gasping an “uh oh” .. they should have known who he is .. and should not be shocked.  He is still better to have representing them than a true far left liberal.

He is who he is… and he was not the only Republican to vote for the jobs bill.  Two others voted along with him for the bill.. which in itself is a very modest bill… scaled back from what Obama first proposed.

Brown’s voting history shows him to be someone who is not adverse to government intervening in public life.. but he could be said to be a moderate in that way… if there is such a thing.

Goverenment intervention in our lives is what it is .. and with each new rule and each new law and each new mandate.. one more bit of our freedom is taken away.

This has been going on forever.

Brown said the bill was not perfect .. but a starting point.  A starting point toward what? Bipartisanship?  Do we want bepartisanship just for the sake of bepartisanship .. irregardless of what it does to our country?

We need people in office who completely value freedom..

We need people who see a bill as imperfect and will stand up against it.

We need people who see a bill as a threat to our independence as Americans and will vote against it.

We need people who see a bill as one more step to controlling our lives and will vote against it.

We need people who know that government destroys anything it attempts to regulate in our lives and will stand against all attempts to do so.

We need people who value the Constitution and truly see the role the Constituion has written for government and will stand up in defense of that Constitution.

We need people who value the reason this country was formed in the first place.

We need people who value the reason so many lives were given in defense of our freedom.

We need people who value freedom to the point so many before us have .. so much that they were willing to give their lives to protect it.

We do not need anyone who sees a bill as “imperfect” but votes for it anyway.

This country and all it has always stood for deserves more than that.

Scott Brown may stand up tall for some great things as we see them .. but the fact he will bend down to government control in any factor is surely an uh oh to many …. but is not one unexpected.
