Awful things can happen while we sleep.

One such is the bill in Congress right now that would require states to track the BODY MASS of all children 2 through 18 and report it to the federal health department each year… report to the “federal fat police”.

Can you believe that?

Another bill about to be voted on is the so called “beach house bill” that would force us all to pay for the reconstruction or repair of luzury homes on Florida beaches… and perhaps in California too. This is the Homeowner’s Defense Act (H.R.2555). .. and act sure to add billions of dollars to our deficit.

Also … while we sleep .. Obama has set up a “tax commission” .. a group of people.. unelected, unaccountable to anyone but Obama .. to decide what new taxes we all need to pay… even as he plans to push more and more high spending bills through to Congress.

Remember he said no new taxes of any kind on anyone making under $250,000?

Well…. that was just what he “preferred”. He did not mean it was what would actually happen.

How about that oil spill?  Where are all the dead sealife?  Where are all the devastated coastal towns?  How is that burning going?  Where is the media in its reporting of how the burning is going?  Could this possibly be one of those … what was it … “a crisis” … that should not be allowed to go to waste?

Then there is the V.A.T tax.   See how well Europe did with that?  Great idea.

People… make sure everyone you know is aware of how bad things are with Obama’s thinking .. or lack of thinking  .. and make sure they plan to vote in November.

We have one hope only for this country right now and that is to make sure the Democrat’s lose control of Congress in November.

However .. also while we sleep … good things are happening.

More and more states are aligning themselves with Arizona on the illegal immigration law.

More and more states are aligning themselves with Florida’s suit against the Federal Government to prevent us from being forced to purchase healthcare insurance.

More and more bills are being blocked in Congress.

We Americans are a resilient lot.  We can weather what we must and we can and will preserve this country.

We will prove that once more in November.

We just need to stay awake .. and even as I say these things .. I wonder……… is it already too late?
